Vida24 Patient App is an interactive electronic health and wellness tool that operates on the innovative platform Vida24® of Vidavo S.A. (10th klm. Thessaloniki - N. Moudania, Balkan Center, Building D, 57001, e-mail: vidavo@vidavo.eu, tel. +30 2310 474762) and is an integrated system of telemetry, recording and management of bio-signals and health parameters, connecting the users with their doctor or health professional.

Vida24 Patient App offers you the opportunity to record and track parameters related to your physical condition and health and to communicate with your doctor. With Vida24 Patient App you can also link wirelessly with portable medical devices (blοod pressure monitor, weight scales, glucose meters, activity trackers etc) or to record manually the relevant measurements. Moreover, you can have access via cloud to Vida24®, using the same account you will use to access the application, to your entries and track record as well as to additional tools and capabilities; for example you can enter your medical tests and medication in the application as well as to communicate anytime with the doctor or other medical expert of your choosing, who receives and evaluates your measurements in real time. Along with Vida24 Patient App, you can download Vidaware application for smartwatches based on the wearOS operating system. The use of Vidaware is optional and the same terms of use as the Vida24 Patient App apply.

We thank you for your interest to download Vida24 Patient App but before doing so, please read the following notice with information that interests you and is useful for the optimal use of our application.

Data needed for downloading Vida24 Patient App

When you download Vida24 Patient App certain information is transferred to the “Play Store” that you use, such as your country, the version of Android you have on your device, language, time of download etc. Processing of such data is done solely by “Play store” without Vidavo's involvement.

The doctor or health professional who is monitoring your health condition and has created your personal medical file via vida24 cloud service, can grant you access in order to create your user account and for that reason your email address is required. Afterwards, a first email will be sent to you in order to verify your email address and activate your account and then a second email with the extra pin in order to create your password. Your email and password are stored in our system. For as long as you use Vida24 Patient App the system will keep anonymous record of the frequency that you use the app as well as of your preferences regarding Health and Physical Activity.

The above data are necessary for you to install Vida24 Patient App and be able to use it easily and securely (for example the registration of your device's technical characteristics ensures that only you can have access to the application and to your data) as well as in order for us to get aggregate statistical information regarding its operation, such as the number and geographical origin of the users, the users' age and sex, the frequency of use etc. All these data are strictly anonymous and cannot identify you.

The legal basis for the use of the above data is our legitimate interest to safeguard and improve the high quality of Vida24 Patient App as well as to protect the security and integrity of our systems and of the information that you enter in our application (article 6.1.f GDPR).

Data needed for your use of Vida24 Patient App

As referred in the beginning, Vida24 Patient App is an interactive application that can work only based on the data that you give, which are categorized as "simple data", i.e. your birth date, height, weight, sex, location data, if you are a smoker etc. and as "health data", such as medical record, cholesterol, diabetes and triglyceride levels, medical conditions, drug therapies etc.

All these data ("simple data" and "health data") are necessary in order for Vida24 Patient App to be personalized and function on the basis of your own needs as well as for the activation and use of its various functions, as detailed below.

Simple Data are needed for the activation and use of Physical activity management and the legal basis for their processing is that it is necessary for the fulfillment of our obligation to provide you with the above functions (article 6.1.b GDPR).

Health Data are needed for the activation and use of Exams, Lab tests and Questionnaires, which can be updated automatically through cloud connectivity with the wireless medical devices you possess, in order for you to be able to see them and for your doctor to evaluate them. Vida24 Patient App may request access rights to the user's location to perform medical tests, such as spirometry. Your health data are "sensitive" and therefore they can be used if you give your consent in a separate consent at the end of this notice (article 9.2.a GDPR).

If simple data are related, directly or indirectly, to your health status, they will be considered and handled as sensitive data.

How we safeguard your data

Your data can be seen and used only by you and the persons that you may authorize, for example your doctor or other persons related to you. Vidavo does not use your data by any means and simply stores and safeguards them so that they will always be available to you, each time you use Vida24 Patient App. The data are stored in the premises of an EU cloud provider and are encrypted so that they cannot be linked to you.

How long we keep your data

You may choose to delete your data. In this case, your data becomes inaccessible, however, you can revoke the deletion within 30 days. After 30 days they will be automatically deleted without the possibility of revocation.

Health Data will also be deleted in case you withdraw your consent, as specified below.

In any case you choose to delete your data, data will be anonymized, i.e. will be converted to anonymous statistics

As an exception, in case of legal claims, the data will be stored until their final resolution.

Your rights and how you may exercise them

The General Data Protection Regulation and Greek legislation give you the following rights:

  1. To be informed about which data are used in Vida24 Patient App ("right to information and access")
  2. To ask for the rectification and/or completion of inaccurate personal data ("right to rectification")
  3. To ask for the erasure of your data («right to be forgotten»)
  4. To ask for the restriction of processing (a) for as long as your above claim for rectification or erasure is pending as well as (b) in case we must erase your data but you want us to keep it only on your behalf in order to exercise a legal right e.g. for defending yourself or to establish legal claims ("Right to restriction of processing")
  5. To receive your data in machine-readable format and/or to have us transmitted directly to third parties that you will indicate ("right to data portability")
  6. To object to specific processing activities ("right to object")
  7. To withdraw your consent regarding Health Data

Also, in case you believe that your data protection rights are in any way infringed, you may lodge a complaint with the Greek Data Protection Authority (1-3 Kifissias av., 11523 Athens, +30210-6475600, contact@dpa.gr).

Information and Consent regarding the processing of health data

Following the general information above, please note the following:

  1. Health data will be encrypted. With Vida24 Patient App you can connect with your doctor or other persons that you may authorize (e.g. relatives, nurses etc.), but in this case Vidavo S.A. has no responsibility as to the way such persons handle your data.
  2. Health data will be used for as long as you use Vida24 Patient App solely for the purposes of its respective functions. If you exercise the aforementioned right to erasure or if you withdraw your consent, as referred below, these data will be erased.
  3. You may withdraw this consent anytime the same way you give it i.e. by entering this same form and clicking "I do not consent"; in this case access to your health data by the medical experts referred above in paragraph 1 will be automatically interrupted. The withdrawal of your consent will not affect the use of personal health data that will take place until the date of withdrawal.
